You may commence clapping giddily and hopping up and down. Borderlands 2 is on the way.
Gearbox and 2K Games gave a tiny taste of what's in store, saying there's “all new characters, skills, environments, enemies, weapons and equipment, which come together in an ambitiously crafted story.” I'm hoping the “ambitiously crafted story” part is especially true. I've played through Borderlands about five times and the only thing I remember about the story is that it was muddled and lacking. (Obviously it didn't deter me much. I played through five times when there were only four character classes.)
They gave themselves a decent window for the release date. The game is set to drop during Take-Two Interactive's fiscal year starting April Fool's Day, 2012. So anytime between then and March 31st, 2013, we'll get our Borderlands fix. Though they did let Game Informer get their hands all over it, so I'm guessing, nay, praying the release will be closer to the beginning of their fiscal year than the end.
It's been so long, I even miss Claptrap.
