GameGeex - Elsword adds the tanky Chung to the cast Kill3rCombo's free-to-play beat 'em up gets a new character today, and he's not one to mess with.

Elsword added a new member to their family today, and suddenly things have gotten a lot more armored and spikey in the character pantheon.  Meet Chung, descended from a long line of warriors from Hamel, he dons a suit of armor so cool it has its own name -- Freitunier.

This is no mere tank class though, since Chung also does pretty gnarly damage with his cannon.  When things get rough in battle, he can transform himself into what looks like a very cool knight robot and take all the punishment you can throw at him.

I've been a big Elsword fan ever since the game launched a couple years ago.  It's great to see Kill3rCombo adding new classes to the mix.  It should be fun to see how this changes the balance of gameplay.  If you want to check Chung out for yourself, head on over to the Elsword website and sign up for an account.  Look for Elsword at Anime Expo this weekend at the Los Angeles Convention Center, and check out Chung's moves in the video after the jump.

Wow, this looks awesome. I must admit I haven't heard of Elsword before this post but this definitely looks interesting!  Maybe I'll create an account and check it out.

It's always great to hear about a new game that one can get into.

Thanks!

Elsword is a lot of fun, particularly if you like side-scrolling beat 'em ups.  One of my favorite features is the fact that you aren't rolling characters, you're playing a premade person so actually ages as they hit major level jumps.  The entire character design grows up with them.  It's very slick.
