The name "Final Fantasy XIV" isn't exactly a title Square Enix can hold with high regard. With a rocky launch in the midst of an ever-growing MMO market, the game pretty much failed right from the get-go. Despite what first impressions say, after a couple of fixes, I found the game to be pretty darn good, but sometimes, game's receive the "a little too late" treatment.

Personally, I think Final Fantasy XIV deserves this second launch. But whether or not you're in the market for a new MMO, it's pretty darn hard to beat Square in a game of cinematics and story. So regardless of your feeling towards this game, I do recommend watching the opening cinematic to A Realm Reborn because it's just plain dam awesome.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is scheduled to launch sometime this year on PC and PS3. But for now, enjoy the game's opening trailer. Warning it gets a little hot.
