Imagine building something inside a game, then placing your very creation on your shelf in real life. Well now you can, especially if your creations spawn from a game called Minecraft. Using a neat little program called Mineways, you can bring the creations you’ve created inside Minecraft to life! Unfortunately, it does require a 3D printer of some sort to bring your in-game block creations into the real world, but you can find someone else to do it for you. A company called Shapeways will take your designs and do the printing for you for a small fee.

I’ve seen a lot of neat creations inside Minecraft and it would be really neat if the best ones were chosen and put on display or something. Even though some people have already been re-working their creations into lego form, Minecraft will also be coming out with official LEGO sets soon. Fitting, no? However, I find the 3D print-outs to be far neater, affordable, and more portable if anything than their Lego counterparts.

Goodness gracious this is dangerous for me.  Now I have a reason to finish my Minecraft projects.  I can't wait to get a model of my Gamble House!
