I've been known to buy up Collector's Editions of games even if I'm not so sold on the title itself. With Lord of the Rings: War in the North however, I'm definitely ready to pick up my copy when it hits stores.  Today they announced what you will get with the Collector's Edition, as well as the pre-order goodies that come from buying it at specific retailers.

Yes, that's right kids, that's a leather quiver up there in the photo.  For those that fork over the $129.99 big ones for the Collector's Edition, they will receive a Range of the North quiver case.  In addition, the CE comes with music from the E3 2011 concert event (definitely awesome stuff, having been there to hear it), and three tracks from the game soundtrack.  Xbox and PS3 owners will also get digital codes or avatar items and/or wallpapers and such depending on which system you buy it for.

For the people who can't afford the Collector's Edition of the game, there are still extras to be had depending on where you buy your copy.  I sort of wish they added these all in the CE bundle for those who wouldn't want to choose:

There's so much DC cross-promotion here that I'd expect the quiver to be Green Arrow's.

At least this game escaped the development hell that had encumbered it. Hopefully we have a good LOTR property on our hands - just as long as they refrain from the utilization of a shield as a makeshift skateboard...
