As our review for Batman: Arkham City pretty much stated, the game is really f*cking awesome. How awesome? Enough to sell 4.6 million copies worldwide in the first week of its release.

These figures are more than double its predecessor, Arkham Asylum, and place the game as one of the top-selling titles of 2011. It’s also the highest scoring game on Metacritic, netting a 96 and a 95 for the PS3 and 360 versions respectively. So if you’ve got a friend who is a skeptic about “bought reviews,” just kindly point the offender in that direction to shut them up.
