Dungeons & Dragons is back in the form of a new Facebook game, Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes of Neverwinter. The game is in its open beta phase right now and is free to play for anyone. DnD: HoN is looking to shape-up into a great game and I’m definitely not the type to abuse Facebook titles. It’s a fun, easy little-dungeon crawler complete with multiplayer for up to 3 players. I had trouble figuring it out at first only because it was turn based and had to wait for the enemies to make a move before doing anything.

The game is very traditional. It’s very much like the classic table-top game. Players will be able to customize their own heroes (4 races and 4 classes) and customize them with 30 different skill sets. There exists a very vague Game Master (not an actual player) and the chance system will make a return. Players fond of the classic D&D will find this game quite the find and new players will finally understand what D&D actually is.

The game boasts over 50 dungeons and a variety of 40 different creatures for you to fight. Atari also claims players will be able to create their own dungeons for their friends to venture into. So go out there and begin your adventure in the world of Dungeons & Dragons!

wow, I honestly never thought that facebook games would make it this far. I thought it would go no further than the gimicky little time killers that they had for a while. I guess I was wrong!

This game gives me hope for the future of social games. I really like how you can use your friends as party members and I don't feel the need to exploit them for resources in game. I also love how combat is laid out, nothing like a doing a dungeon crawl for lunch. I've been playing since early beta and survived two character wipes but I am sticking with it, bravo for a great execution so far.  I can't wait to create my own dungeons.

People abuse facebook titles. I find that very interesting, I've tried Farmville and even that Dragon Age game that release on facebook. They were both in my opinion not addicting what so ever. As for DnD, I'll stick with Table Top thank you very much

On Occasion I do actually. I mean, you never hear me talk about it for you to know because I'm not as crazy about it as Magic the Gathering or Power Rangers haha

As I walk through the valley of the ancients I see you. I do an intimidation check. Rolled my D20 and rolled a 1. a mirror pops up and I scared myself :o

Upon waking up from unconsciousness, you find that you are alone, in a dark, dank forest. Your weapons stripped, satchel missing, and nothing on you but the thrift store armor you bought with little gold.

You notice a campfire and the movement of shadows over a bush about 40 feet away. You look the other way and notice a path that leads up towards a mountain trail.

@Chaobo Ive actually considered creating a site for running Play By Web D&D games, you keep talking like this and I may just do it...

... which of course would take away from my dev time here, and Mandie would most likely axe murder me with a natural 20. >_>

Walking up the mountain trail I sensed a man or some sort of creature fallowing me. I decided to start running towards the peak of the mountain but I failed because I rolled a 5 instead of a 6. Suddenly the creature behind me caught up and came out of the shadows. Turns out I was running from teemo from League of Legends. He told me he was sucked into a vortex that led him into this very dimension. So I killed him and took his blow darts and continued on with my journey to...to...
