The pain! The agony! The horror! En Masse Entertainment has just announced it will delay the highly-anticipated action MMORPG, TERA for spring of 2012.
I have been following this game for well-over a year and have watched it grow and earn more rewards than my web browser could handle. The game now looks finished. It’s even received high remarks from a majority of its alpha and beta testers. Heck, it’s already been released in Korea and Japan. But finally, the developers have decided to add additional time for the NA release in order to ensure “standard quality”. Seems to be the typical excuse for most companies nowadays. (Ahem…Ghost Recon: Future Soldier)
Either way, a lot of TERA fans, including myself, have become very frustrated by this announcement. We’ve waited so long to hear even just a thought of a solid release date, and the fans have finally got what they asked for… in a way we didn’t expect. I’m definitely pro-delay to fix things up in a video game, but to add almost a whole year? Really!? Oh well, I’m definitely still waiting for this game, and TERA better be as close to perfect as it can get when it finally does come.
