Game of Thrones fans are going to have a lot to look forward to next year. Not only did they get Genesis earlier this year, but there are two more titles based on the best-selling novel series in the works.
One is an action RPG title that is set to be developed by Cyanide Studios, the people behind Genesis, and published by Atlus. According to a press release, this game will be based on the A Song of Fire and Ice book series, utilizing an original story with a new cast of characters. The title is set to be released in early 2012 on the PS3 and Xbox 360 systems, as well as PC.
Another project in the works is an actual Game of Thrones MMORPG title. This title won’t be developed by Cyanide, but rather Bigpoint, who are responsible for Battlestar Galactica Online. Unlike the former title, no release date is set for this one as of yet, and no other details are known at this time.
So, if you’re a Game of Thrones fan, or even if you’re looking to get into the series, 2012 is looking to be a good year for you. Just don’t act like some choice morons and threaten to blow up the store if they don’t have it when they’re released.
