E-sports group CompLexity Gaming has announced today that they will be tossing their hat into the fighting game scene. To solidify this moment, they've also announced their first two player catches for this new division: Mike “MikeRoss” Ross, and Ryan “Gootecks” Gutierrez. Both of these players are well known in the competitive fighting game community, with Mike Ross coming off an impressive showing at the CEO 2011 tournament, taking third place in Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition. Their fighting game division will be titled compLexity: Cross Counter, after the Cross Counter youtube series that the pair broadcasts.
CompLexity already has a firm presence in competitive gaming, having teams taking part in Starcraft II, Halo, and League of Legends. Mike Ross will be hopping on board as the Player Manager for the fighting game division, while Gootecks will be serving as the Media Manager. Their youtube channel will also be sponsered by Creative SoundBlaster and presented by compLexity Gaming. There's no word on any other players joining the group at this time.
The dynamic duo will be flying out to Australia for their first tournament under this new sponsorship at Shadowloo Showdown, which is June 25-26.
