Good morning Game Geex!  We’ve officially begun our Modern Warfare 3 Contest this morning.  If you didn't get a chance to watch Ken's video introducing the contest last week, I highly suggest you do so. It's okay, I'll wait here.  Ready?  Good, now let’s go over how this works, and then we’ll give you the nitty gritty on rules, prizes, etc.  The contest itself will run from October 3, 2011 Midnight PST to October 10, 2011 11:59 PM.

Step One: All entrants must register for an account here at Game Geex, then enter themselves for the contest by putting in a comment below stating “I am entering the Modern Warfare 3 Contest.”  Nice and simple eh?  Without this first crucial step we will not be tracking your commenting here on the site and we cannot judge your contribution to the community.

Step Two:  Entrants comment on articles, any articles that are currently on the site or will be posted this week.  Only well thought out comments, those that promote discussion and community, will count. 

Step Three:  We track your comments, interact with your discussions, and pick the top three MVGG – Most Valuable Game Geex and award them prizes.

OFFICIAL RULES GAME GEEX MODERN WARFARE 3 CONTEST

GRAND PRIZE: One code for the Modern Warfare 3 Hardened Edition in Collector’s Call of Duty XP tin, one Call of Duty XP t-shirt, one Call of Duty XP tote bag, and one Call of Duty XP poster.

FIRST PRIZE: One code for the Modern Warfare 3 Hardened Edition in Collector’s Call of Duty XP tin.

SECOND PRIZE: One Call of Duty XP t-shirt, one Call of Duty XP tote bag, and one Call of Duty XP poster.

1. Open to all residents of the US and Canada 18 years and older.  Entrants living outside the US and Canada that can provide a shipping address within the US may also be eligible.  Please contact the Game Geex staff for consideration.
2. The contest will run from Midnight PST on October 3, 2011 to 11:59 PM PST on October 10, 2011.
3. Entrants must submit comments on Game Geex articles to be eligible.  Comments posted on other sites such as Facebook, Google+, Twitter, YouTube, or Reddit are not eligible.
4. Comments are judged based on merit by the Game Geex staff.  Quality comments that improve the community of Game Geex will be considered.
5. Any entrant found to be spamming, scrolling, or negatively affecting the community in such a way will be disqualified.
6. There is no minimum amount of comments to win, and there is no maximum number of comments allowed. 
7. The contest will be judged by members of the Game Geex staff, and the winners will be chosen amongst those entrants that submitted an initial comment on this post. 
8. Game Geex is in no way responsible for the condition of prize items once shipped. 
9. Winners will receive their prizes no later than November 1, 2011.
