Yesterday I saw something intriguing on LinkedIn. One of the people I'm connected to at Blizzard Entertainment added the "Social Games" skill to their profile, and suddenly my brain was awhir with possibilities. Could there be a WoW social game in the works, or perhaps a Facebook Diablo III inventory tie-in? How about a scaled down version of Heart of the Swarm? What exactly would a social game designed by Blizzard look like?
I'd love to know what you think on the subject. Would you play a Blizzard social game? If so, what flavor of social game do you think they would put out?

I'd play a Blizzard social game if it didn't have a restriction on how much you could play it. That has to be one of the worst game mechanics ever devised.
Perhaps a WoW crafting game? That upcoming card game. Heck even a Starcraft 4X would be cool.

I'm still not entirely sure if Hearthstone counts as a "social game" or not. Still, I'm definitely going to play that, and I would probably be interested in anything else Blizzard puts out, to be completely honest. They have a proven track record of only pushing forward with the products that are "concentrated cool" so I wouldn't have much to worry about.

Well, you know it's already in WoW, right? It wouldn't be much of a stretch to pull that out and make it part of the armory app. Then it's one small step to a Facebook PvP game. It would work, but I'm not sure how much I would enjoy it. It's a lot more fun to go around and collect the pets.
