While it's not exactly soul-crushing, fans of Demon's Souls living in Japan will have to wait an extra week to get their hands on Dark Souls, From Software announced today.

The reasoning behind the delay is being kept under wraps, but I'm betting From Software is too embarrassed to just come out and say, “Apparently the game is so hard, our testers can't get through it.”

Get killed over and over and over come September 15^th September 22^nd. The US and Europe release is still set for October 4^th. For now.
