Today Ubisoft released the trailer for Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. We get a first look at our protagonist, Edward Kenway, via the a stylish retelling by none other than Blackbeard himself. It's 1715, pirates have established a hold on the Caribbean with their lawless ways. Captain Edward Kenway is a feared and much respected pirate on the seas and suggested as a great captain if you stay out of his personal business, this man has some secrets.

The man suits up with not one pistol, not two, but FOUR! Not to mention he's dual wielding cutlasses. Excuse the slight salivation I have at anticipating combat in this next installment. From sea sailing combat and cross ship melee and port town assassinations, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag is bringing the big guns.

Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag features an open world with more than 50 navigable locations. As always combat combines the classic weapons of the Assassin's Order with the instruments of the current era. There are also hints at the multiplayer experience returning once more, this time more varied and ruthless than ever. Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag sets sails this October 29th on all current consoles and the PC, with Playstation receiving 60 minutes of additional game play.
