Today a Swedish mobile game developer called Mediocre announced the release of their Firefighting iOS title, Sprinkle. Never one to pass up a chance for a fun physics puzzler, I watched the video below and was surprised and delighted. Not by the music -- that was attrocious. But the game itself looks adorable.
Sprinkle features a series of villages inhabited by what I can only assume are people from the beanie baby planet. The beany baby people are under attack by vicious fires, and it's up to you to save their civilization from charred destruction and more than a little singing. You accomplish this task the way any brave firefighter would: You pour water on it. The game uses a clever little water physics system to push objects, put out fires, and solve puzzles. From what I can see it looks like fun.
Sprinkle is available today for iOS from the iTunes store for $1.99 as well as the Android Marketplace. Watch the trailer after the jump.
