To many Legend of Zelda fans, Link and Zelda are considered an item. Problem is, actual canon doesn't show much of anything pertaining to them being a couple. Sure there may be a kiss on the cheek on occasion, but that’s about the extent of any kind of serious relationship, leaving fan artists to fill in the voids, with varied (and often disturbing) results.

That being said, Skyward Sword seems to have our two main protagonists actually showing their feelings for each other in the latest trailer from Nintendo. Or, at least, hints of it. Still, we could finally see the two hooking up for once, which would be a great change of direction for the series. Hey, it can’t be any cheesier than what they tried to pull with their relationship in the cartoon series.
