After a recent delay, Overkill Software has announced that the crime-based FPS title, Payday: The Heist, is back on track and is making its way to the PSN online store on. Unfortunately, there is still no news on the release of the PC version so players wanting to commit virtual crime on their computers will have to wait a bit longer.

Payday is a co-op based game involving 6 heists where players must work together and plan their moves accordingly in order to escape rich or die trying. From what I’ve heard about it, the heists are made extremely difficult and take absolute precision and well-thought out strategies to clear the missions without dying to the swarms of cops, SWAT teams, and helicopters wanting to thwart your efforts. Oh, and a good trigger finger doesn’t hurt to have either.

It’s still unclear whether or not the missions can be done like they are in Deus Ex, silent and rewarding, but any heated FPS fan should get a good kick out of this title. Again, the game does launch on October 18th 2011 and here’s a video for you to enjoy.

Looking forward to playing this one. I asked a friend if he'd be joining me, his response caught me off guard.

"I suck at robbing banks."
