Today Amazon UK has put up images that show off the box contents for the PlayStation 4. While this isn't huge news normally, keep in mind that we didn't even see the actual console until E3 just a little bit ago, so having pictures of what we'll be getting when we plunk down our $399.00 is a big deal -- at least in my mind.
I had a chance to hold the controller for the PS4 during E3 (I suppose I should be grateful I was playing games on an actual PS4), and it felt pretty weird. I didn't realize that it had a headphone jack on the bottom, then again I was too busy being weirded out by the lack of start and menu buttons on the front. We're hearing from sources that the Xbox One will not come with a headset, since Microsoft is pushing Kinect voice controls. Not that I'm saying that a non-stereo headset is of equal value to the Kinect.

Yeah, it's not the most exciting list on the planet, but at least it's information from a console team that seems hell bent on keeping info from the public. I understand that they want information for Gamescom and TGS, but my goodness, why hold so much information back? I didn't get a meeting with Sony during E3 to go over the specs of the PS4 the way I did for the Xbox One, so as far as I'm concerned they didn't bother holding them.
