There are few things in life that are more appealing than smashing a zombie’s head in repeatedly with a wooden paddle. Deep Silver knows this, and is also aware that you may have a couple buddies that want in on the paddle-swinging action.

The people behind Dead Island have released a new trailer highlighting the multiplayer aspect of their story-driven zombie survival game. Dead Island sports four player co-op, with easy drop-in/out mechanics so that anyone can jump in at anytime, whether it’s the girl next door who happens to have an interest in boating, or your grandfather who served in World War II and thinks the country is being taken over by communists. The game has also officially gone gold, and will be available September 6 in NA, and September 9 everywhere else.
