Riot Games has announced the details for League of Legends’ second competitive season and this time, players will get to compete for an even larger prize pool. Not just large, record-setting. This fall, LoL teams will get to fight for their share of $5 million, the largest prize-pool in esports history. This means the stakes are much higher and the competition will be the toughest yet.
League of Legends is an excellent competitive game, utilizing both individual strategy and team-based tactics. The mix is so excellent that the game is being adopted by top esports arenas across the globe such as MLG and ESL Arena. And I don’t see why not. The season one championship game had 1.7 million viewers tune-in to watch. I’m not much of a LoL player, but it has enough spectator value to keep me hooked on it when I try to watch (which will be happening at MLG Raleigh this coming week).
Even though the competition already consists of plenty of pros and veterans, it’s never too late to try and play for the prize pool! The game is free to play and you have enough time to get familiar with the game as the next season begins sometime in the fall. lol. Very well-aversed in the world of competitive gaming.. but not too sure on how a DOTA-style game plays out well enough yet. Heh.

Dota is definently a huge leap of skill, but LoL is a simpler game, and real easy to get into. I'm sure you'll pick it up real fast aye!

We don't actually have to be good at the game to play on the team, right? If so, I can kill towers like no one as long as other players are on the other side of the map.
