If you're planning on flying with American Airlines this holiday season, make darn sure you're not traveling with your social gaming addiction. Alec Baldwin learned the hard way when he was booted off a flight for pulling out his phone to plan his next Words with Friends move. He says he was singled out because he's a celebrity, but we all know the real reason: social games are evil, and they will soon be responsible for the downfall of human society.
Baldwin isn't taking this lying down, although he has misplaced his irritation at the situation, choosing to instead attack the airline rather than the true culprit -- Zynga Games. If WWF wasn't so darn addicting chances are Baldwin wouldn't have felt compelled to pull out his phone one last time to enter his move. The fact that he was singled out and removed from the plane while other phone offenders were not is proof positive that it isn't the airline but the game that is to blame. We need to raise awareness for this issue. I say we need to start an Occupy Social Gaming protest. Otherwise other celebrities and other people of obvious strong moral character will find themselves in this situation, and it may cost them more than their airline seat -- it may cost them their lives. Who's with me?
