This just in: Halfbrick officially wins the movie-game tie in war.  They just announced that their next Fruit Ninja title will connect the franchise with the king of all slicing and dicing, Puss in Boots.  Yes, I agree, it's awesome.

Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots will feature two new modes: Bandito and Desperado.  Equally as cool as new game types is the announcement that this game will also be released in Spanish.  Classic mode in this version of the game will contain Magic Beans rather than bananas.  You know, to tie in with the fairytale themes.  I wonder if they will also change the epic pomegranate on Arcade mode when this (hopefully) ports to XBLA Kinect.

Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots will be available on October 20 for $.99 for iPhone and $1.99 for iPad (HD).  The trailer will be available after the jump.

Cats and fruits, love em both. But, I hate Apple products, so no I will not be able to play this game. It will be cool to play this because you get to listen to Anotonio Banderas' voice, very nice, i like (two thumbs up). The only reason I hate Apple products is because they are super over priced and super over hyped. Go Samsung Tablet!

wow, that's an unexpected twist on a classic app store game. I did not expect them to one up their previous game like that and tie themselves in with a big name movie title.

i don't see how fruit ninja is a classic game since it recently came out. Yes i understand it good and everything but don't see it as a classic just yet.

Also if it happened with Angry Birds & Rio so we should have known that other great games would do the same.

Yes ken it will be good since i understand Spanish that will make it even better.

well, based on its popularity I think if it isn't considered a classic now it will be one day.

And I completely forgot about Rio, I guess if I had thought about that I wouldn't have made that statement.

I don't think this game has the potential of becoming a classic because it doesn't have any depth to it. All you do is slide your finger across a screen slicing fruits and avoiding slicing explosives. Monopoly is a classic.

You hate apple??? Apple, let say the ipod and Iphone are the greatest things ever. You know why? Because You can download Glados from Portal into your I product and give it voice commands, and she answers your question or suggestion along with an insult, just like the real thing. amazing is it not? I believe you hate apple because your a fanboy, im pc but apple is still cool.

I'm pretty sure I am not a fanboy, but you can have your own opinion. I don't like apple because the overpriced products, thats all. I usually look at the price and other peoples reviews before selecting a product. So far, Apple is average and not good enough to pay that extra amount of cash.

Depends too, Apple is quite a bit more user-friendly as well tha most other products. Maybe not to you, but most.

I hate to admit it, but I'm kind of a Microsoft fanboy. Because I really have no reason to dislike apple but for some reason, if I can I avoid their products. I think I just dislike how popular they are when their product isn't that much, if at all, better than the others on the market. After a certain point I think Apple just kept getting more and more popular mostly because of their name rather than the superiority of their product. I don't know, I may only think this because I am, unfortunately, a bit of a Microsoft fanboy. haha
