This morning I was delighted to open my email and see that BioShock Infinite has received a release date.  Personally, Irrational Games' next Action RPG represents one of the most anticipated games of the last couple of years, particularly after I got the opportunity to see the gameplay for myself during E3 2011.  

“After BioShock, we had a vision for a follow up that dwarfed the original in scope and ambition,” said Ken Levine (@iglevine), Creative Director of Irrational Games (@irrationalgames). “BioShock Infinite has been our sole focus for the last four years, and we can’t wait for fans to get their hands on it.”

The next BioShock installment will take flight October 16, 2012 onto PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360.
