After Bungie's departure from the Halo franchise they started working on a new project dubbed Destiny. This new high and mighty project is aimed to have a very unique and vast universe much like Star Wars. So that means Destiny is going to have a massive timeline and with it, probably five hundred sequels. Oh great, more video games for me to look forward to and buy.

Here is what Bungie's document said about the games plot:

“Our story begins seven hundred years from now in the Last City on Earth, in a Solar System littered with the ruins of man’s Golden Age. A massive, mysterious alien ship hangs overhead like a second Moon. No one knows where it came from or what it’s here for, but only that it’s our protector. Meanwhile, strange, alien monsters creep in from the edge of the universe, determined to take Earth and the Last City. We are young ‘knights’ tasked with defending the remains of humanity, discovering the source of these monsters and – eventually – overcoming it.”

After reading this, the first thing I thought of was, "Why does humanity always have to end up in ruins?" I mean sure, it makes it more dramatic, but I mean humans always run away from aliens, why couldn't it be the other way around? Judging by the photo we have cool armor and giant robots to play with. Halo has always been the giant with the coolest armor but that trooper looks badass. The picture above is the only tease they released for the game so that means get excited and impatient. Also I know what you're thinking, and no that's not Hoth.
