Notch and his game studio Mojang should be feeling good right now, coming off of a court victory against Bethesda and parent company Zenimax. The resulting win in the interim injunction case allows the small indie studio to use Scrolls as the title for their game, which is still in development.
While Bethesda/Zenimax can still work towards an appeal, this is still a huge victory for Notch and the gang. The original lawsuit was brought up because Bethesda (or rather, their lawyers), raised concerns that people would confuse the smaller brand for their blockbuster game series The Elder Scrolls, as silly as that is to believe.
No word yet on whether Bethesda plans on going for the appeal or not, though common sense should hopefully tell them to back off.
