Fighting game fans are already having a lot to be excited about in the coming months, though the competitive side of things is also getting some sweet attention. Next month will be the annual North East Championship, and this event is looking to be big.

First off, we have the U.S. tournament debut of several high profile titles. This includes Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, which was just released earlier this week, as well as King of Fighters XIII, which comes out next week. Not only that, we will be getting treated with the first U.S. tournament of Tekken Tag Tournament 2, as well as a first hands-on experience with the upcoming Soul Calibur V. This will be the perfect chance to see how each of these titles stacks up in a competitive environment.

There will also be a number of other familiar titles as well. Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift, and Melty Blood: Actress Again will be getting their last hurrahs before their respective updates later in the month. Mortal Kombat will also be bringing the brutality after having recently gotten their latest major balance released last month.

Tons of other classic games will also be on display, from Street Fighter 3rd Strike, to Dead or Alive 5, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, Garou: Mark of the Wolves, and Super Street Fighter II Turbo. There’s literally something for everyone, whether it’s on the main stage or a side tournament.

They’ve also put out a snazzy trailer promoting the event. You can check that out below. Make sure to mark your calendars for December 3-4, and check the official NEC website for more information on games and scheduling.
