Runic Games is pretty happy right now. First they've managed to get some good response from their Torchlight II E3 demo, and now it appears that the first Torchlight (The Torchlight? Torchlight Zero Hour? Torchlight the First?) has passed the million sale mark. That's right, they're platinum, something that is pretty impressive considering a sequel -- with multiplayer no less -- is on the horizon.
How does Runic feel about all this? “We're very excited to share Torchlight’s success with our fans and supporters. It’s been a great ride so far and we can’t wait to give everyone more of what they want in Torchlight II,” said President Travis Baldree. “It isn’t every day you sell a million games. We’re grateful to be here.”
That's right friends. They're grateful, just chock full of grates. Brimming over with 'em. If I were you I wouldn't even try to approach them with a block of cheese right now. Things would go very, very badly.
Torchlight 2 is gonna be freakin' epic. The armor looks amazing.
