Ubisoft Motion Pictures has a rather ambitious line-up of upcoming films which include the highly anticipated Splinter Cell movie as well as a big screen rendition of Assassin's Creed but still, they wish to add more to their list. Of course, the next best choice in their line-up would be to look into Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon series.
In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, UMP Chief Executive Jean-Julien Baronnet hinted at the possibility of a big screen rendition of everyone's favorite, hi-tech strike team. There really isn't much creativity you can do with a military-esque movie but if done right, Ghost Recon could be quite the success especially with the gaming industry's large shooter fanbase.
Right now, the movie is in its "Pitch" stage, which means it's still really early. After all, there's a lot of hope riding on the success of both the Splinter Cell movie and Assassin's Creed movie since both games have a huge following. So what do you guys think, Ghost Recon movie good? Or bad idea?
