Remember EVO 2011 earlier this year? Remember all those insane moments that happen during the event? Remember Korean Street Fighter 4 player Poongko completely decimating two-time SF4 champ Daigo Umehara in the winners finals on Arcade Edition? So does the EVO organizers.

Today, the moment has been officially added to the list of memorable EVO moments, the same list that also plays home to the near legendary Daigo Parry. And while it doesn’t show Poongko’s Popeye impression, the video is still worth watching for the brutal beatdown that ensued.

Check out the moment below. What other moments during the event stick out to you as memorable?

I don't like playing arcade games because I always get dominated. So, if I were in that fight, I wouldn't be winning. A memorable moment is when the winner didn't show any emotion on his face.

Don't worry about the triple post, we'll have Art delete them :D.

And you gotta win with no emotion, it gives you the presense of epicness.

the winner's face is hilarious :) It doesn't look like he really did all that much, but it was probably a lot more difficult than it looked. I'm with up369 on this one, I'll play arcade games against the pc and start to think I'm pretty good, so I decide to try online and end up getting destroyed every time :)

Lol, well getting destroyed is half the battle... the other half is learning from your mistakes then hopefully not get destroyed heh.

yeahhhh, I don't think I have the patience for that, haha. I'm more of an fps guy anyway

lol same. I love the variety of games though. But I played CoD/Halo competitively so my roots stem from fps. Well actually my roots stem from action-RPGs with Phantasy Star Online on Dreamcast but ehhh... more fps now heh.

same here, I played halo competitively for a while. Not pro or anything, but I was a lot better than the average player. I really enjoyed it while it lasted

No reason for you to stop. Plenty of people on the circuits across the globe do it as a hobby. It's always a fun thing to go to a place full of gamers to do some scrims.

That would be fun, I think I'm a little too far removed from it now to compete anymore though

Nonsense, if you enjoy it, it's something you should always try and do. That's like saying you can't ride a bike anymore cause you haven't used one in awhile. ^^... or something like that... lol

haha, I guess you're right. I'll have to go pick up another copy of halo 3 though, i mistakenly gave mine away.

I was selling an extra 360 I had and to prove that it worked I put halo 3 in and FORGOT TO TAKE IT OUT. it was really stupid. Plus the person would never return my calls, of course...

Heh, go figure :/.

Unfortunately Halo 3 is/has(not sure) died out. Reach is the new competitive game on the market. Quite debatable actually but they just released a new title update that makes the game far more... competitive.

To be honest, I completely forgot Reach existed, haha. In my mind that game never held a candle to the other halo's. I actually sold it because I got tired of it pretty quick. They just tried to change too much

DUDE!!! If I was facing him that television screw would have a giant gash in it because of throwing my controller at it.
