Mortal Kombat 9’s first DLC character, Skarlet, is now available for download by eager audiences, along with the free classic costumes for Cyrax and Sektor. 360 players can get it now, along with the season pass, while PS3 owners will need to wait until later today to get theirs.

That’s not all coming down the pipes, though. A quick look through the Season Pass information shows not only the next characters that will be released, Rain and Kenshi, but their planned release dates as well. Not one, but both of them are expected to drop in July (no specific date has been set yet). As a bonus, we also get a first look at the next pair of free classic outfits. Smoke and Noob Saibot will be getting the free treatment with the new classic alternates for that month. The last character is set to be released in August, along with another pair of yet-to-be-revealed free skins.

All of this extra content is going to be making this summer a busy one for me. Now if they can just make changing one’s controls a bit less of a hassle, we'll really be cooking.
