The PlayStation store is slipping into the surreal this week, now that the Catherine demo is available. In an odd twist of fate, Scott Pilgrim VS The World: The Game was then listed as one of the games on the Summer Sale list. Don't see the connection? Bear with me.
As I see it, both games are essentially about the power of love -- either the power it holds over us, or the power it can bestow upon us. Playing both these games will give you great insight into the double-edged sword of loyalty, how fragile it can be, and what happens when we polish our loyalty until it shines like a beacon in the darkness. Or I could be just a little bit caffeine-crazed. It's been known to happen.
The Catherine demo is out now, and Scott Pilgrim (along with some other, less romantically interested titles) has gone on sale for $6.99 on the PSN. Try playing them back to back. I bet the world will implode.
A Scott Pilgrim Raccoon Mario juxtaposed with Catherine? Probably gonna be the best thing I'll see all day.
